Types of Corrections

We classify errors into three main categories:

  • Retractions: In rare cases, an entire article may be retracted if it contains fundamental and pervasive errors, or if the underlying premise is found to be false or misleading. Retractions occur when the content cannot be reliably corrected through edits.

How Corrections Are Noted

For significant corrections, we will append a clear editor’s note to the affected article. This note will detail the correction made, the date it was implemented, and what information was updated. Minor fixes, such as typos or grammatical errors, are typically corrected without an explicit editor’s note, as they do not change the core message.

Reporting an Error

We value our readers’ vigilance in helping us maintain accuracy. If you identify an error in any of our articles about interior design, home decor, or related topics, please notify us immediately. Send an email to [email protected] with “Correction Request” in the subject line. Include the article title, URL, and a clear description of the identified error.

Review Timeline

Our editorial team reviews all reported errors promptly. We aim to acknowledge your correction request within two business days. Following verification, we strive to implement necessary corrections within five business days. Complex issues may require a longer investigation, and we appreciate your patience in such instances.
